The Vignerons Indépendants wine fairs are unlike any other. You'll meet the winegrowers themselves, each of whom will tell you in their own words about their history, their wine and their trade. It's the perfect opportunity to take a stroll through winegrowing France, with accents as diverse as the people and the wines themselves. Armed with the indispensable tool of an Inao tasting glass, the independent winegrowers will welcome you as if you were in their own cellars.
The principle of the show :
Fairness! That's why the stands are identical. It's also why appellations are mixed throughout the show. Not easy for visitors, you might say! Almost 40 years ago, when the 1st show was created, the idea was to let visitors discover the lesser-known appellations, and to do this there was only one solution: to divide them up between the best-known appellations. Since then, the same rule has applied, but we've provided visitors with tools to facilitate their research.
Vigneron Indépendant ? :
Vigneron Indépendants work their vines, vinify and mature their wine, and bottle it. He is both a farmer and a businessman, passionate about his work, and talks about his wine with love, using his own words, his own accent, his own story and his own plans.
