The Convention Centre and Exhibition Centrecommitted to sustainable events
Sustainable catering
  • Use committed caterers: choose those referenced by Destination Angers to guarantee a responsible approach
  • Prepare a sustainable coffee break: opt for local, organic or fair-trade products (Convention Centre service)
  • Compose responsible menus: favour white meat, consider offering a vegetarian alternative
  • Adapt your quantities: order as little as possible and redistribute surpluses to local associations
Waste management and re-use
  • Encourage selective sorting: all our establishments are equipped to facilitate sorting
  • Limit single-use plastic: prefer water fountains to refill water bottles
  • Choose reusable furniture, already available in our facilities
Hybrid solutions
  • Reduce travel: offer remote interventions via videoconferencing, webinar or streaming to reduce the carbon impact of your event
Responsible hosting
  • Choose our accommodation centre: we’ll point you in the direction of committed establishments
  • Favour nearby accommodation: a simple solution to limit journeys and save time
Soft mobility
  • Provide your participants with a bus and tram pass to get around during the event
  • Book electric shuttles or make a fleet of self-service bicycles available
  • Encourage access to the Congress Centre on foot or by bike
Carbon footprint & communication
  • Request a personalised carbon footprint: we’ll help you measure the impact of your event
  • Contribute locally to support environmental projects and encourage local sustainable practices
  • Take care with your communication materials: opt for certified paper, reduce the use of solid colours on your printed materials and prefer standard formats to limit paper waste
  • Use reusable, dateless signage for your recurring events
  • Awareness-raising and informing your participants about the sustainable actions in place will actively involve them
