Strong commitment to quality of service and sustainable tourism and events

OUR CSR POLICY

Destination Angers is fully committed to reducing the ecological impact of the tourism, business tourism and event sectors, in close connection with the Urban Community’s Ecological Transition Contract (in French).

Our commitment to a responsible approach aims to strengthen the positive impact of the actions we manage while reducing their environmental footprint.

This strong commitment is reflected in our eco-responsible purchasing policy, waste management and energy efficiency measures, as well as in our corporate culture and the awareness raising we do among our partners.

Our CSR policy has four main focuses:

  • to reduce our environmental footprint by 15% by 2030 in the areas of catering, energy, waste and transport;
  • to make progress in responsible procurement, supporting the circular economy and local supply chains, and promoting responsible and inclusive employment;
  • to ensure improvements in employees’ quality of life and strengthen our corporate culture;
  • to develop and promote responsible, high-quality hospitality in collaboration with all stakeholders in the events sector.

In March 2023, Destination Angers obtained ISO 20121 certification for its CSR approach to organising and hosting responsible events.

On the tourism side, our approach is built on a desire to:

  • Offer eco-responsible tourism services
  • Continue developing and promoting slow travel
  • Help tourism operators to become greener
  • Welcome and attract new event organisers and investors committed to sustainable development
  • Provide an offering for a locally-based clientèle
  • Raise the awareness of customers to green tourism practices

At Destination Angers, service quality and customer satisfaction are at the heart of our approach. Our teams strive every day to provide the best possible service to customers and visitors, with a view to continuous improvement. We are proud to have achieved an average visitor satisfaction score of 9.35 out of 10.

Destination Angers’ Angers Loire Métropole Tourist Office has had its Qualité Tourisme label renewed for 2024 and its national Tourist Office category 1 classification renewed for 2025. Destination Angers is currently working towards obtainingthe Destination d’Excellence label.
