The Département de Maine-et-Loire is organizing the first Salon du Bien Vieillir en Anjou, on November 5, 2025, at the Angers Convention Center. The aim is to provide seniors with better guidance and information on their rights, services and local players in the sector.
Plenary sessions and workshops will be offered to the general public, as well as some sixty partner stands to promote physical and sporting activities, culture, home adaptation, community involvement... and to promote the assistance and actions offered by the Maison départementale de l'autonomie.
The "Trophées des métiers du domicile" awards ceremony will also be held on this occasion, to shine the spotlight on professionals in the sector who are working to help people age well at home.
In the presence of Dr Gérald Kierzek (MD, MPH, PhD). Gérald Kierzek is a hospital doctor (MD, PhD, Master of Public Health) and emergency anesthetist/resuscitator, practicing at the Hôtel-Dieu hospital in Paris. He is the author of numerous international publications on public health, ethics and patients' rights in emergency situations. Gérald Kierzek has also been the medical director of Doctissimo since 2020, and appears daily on France Télévision (Télématin, Bel & Bien) and France Bleu to decipher health news and offer advice. He is the author of a number of books for the general public, including the latest Deyrolle. Leçons d'anatomie, published by Albin Michel.
