Originally built in 13th Century, this black slate and shale fortification was transformed into a grand country home during the 15th Century. The château features a flamboyant gothic style that can be seen in its impressive tuffeau stone (limestone) balcony and chapel (containing a rare gothic tribune). Visitors will appreciate the contrast between the elegant stately residence and the remains of the medieval fortress..
