Immerse yourself in a green setting on the banks of the Loir. Visit the Château de Villevêque and the water mill, then take the ferry across the river to Soucelles.
Tourist attractions :
- A fortress built in the 12th century, the Musée-Château de Villevêque displays works bequeathed by Marie Dickson-Duclaux in 2002 to the city of Angers as an annex to the Musée des Beaux-Arts. An important collection of works of art from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
- For 8 centuries, the commune's 3 mills produced oil, paper and flour. Today, only the Moulin de Froment and the Grand Moulin remain, united around the production of electricity.
- To cross the Loir and discover the reed bed and the Roche-Foulques chapel, you need to take the chain ferry, which is activated by hand.
