Hiking - From Plessis-Bourré to the Angevin low valleys
This trail takes you to the heart of the Basses vallées angevines, where horses are bred at numerous stud farms. For a historic stopover halfway along the route, visit the Château du Plessis-Bourré, a 15th-century architectural gem set in 380 hectares of parkland.
Tourist attractions :
- The Château du Plessis-Bourré in Écuillé is unusual in that it is built in the "Transition" style. It has the characteristics of a late medieval fortress with its defense system, but also the elegance of the Renaissance. The château was used as a film location for "Peau d'Âne" and "Fanfan la tulipe".
