Boule de fort is a traditional bowls game which is part of Anjou's intangible cultural heritage. It developed among men's societies in the late 19th century after originating in the Maine-et-Loire area.
The game is played with boules de fort - unevenly balanced wooden or plastic bowls encircled by a metal ring - which are rolled along a concave track. Our society La Bonne Alliance was founded in 1868 in La Pointe-Bouchemaine. The game originated around Le Guédéniau (Maine-et-Loire). Boule de fort has an important social function in that it brings villagers together.
In 2017, we decided to open our society up to the public to promote this little known cultural heritage.

Discovery sessions available seven days a week, all year-round, by reservation only. Groups of four people minimum up to 50 people, from age 8.
Discounts apply for 10 persons and more.
