600 km including 56 km in the Angers conurbation between Longuenée-en-Anjou and Loire-Authion

Between country lanes, natural sites and historic sites, the route follows the Mayenne towpath, inviting you to stroll along the locks.

Practical information :
- Departure point: Longuenée-en-Anjou or Loire-Authion in the Angers conurbation
- Public transport stop (tramway and train) less than 500m from the starting point in Angers.
- Recommended period: March to November
- Recommended duration: half-day
- Route not passable during periods of flooding

Tips not to be missed:
- Take a break for lunch at one of the many guinguettes on the route: La Guinguette in Pruillé, La Rainette in Montreuil-Juigné, La Cabane du Chat qui pèche in Cantenay-Épinard and the Port de l'île guinguette on Ile Saint-Aubin. Find out more about the Ile Saint-Aubin ferry timetable.
- Help the ferryman pull the ferry over the Mayenne to access car-free Ile Saint-Aubin.
- In Angers, take time to stroll through the historic streets of the Doutre, visit the Château d'Angers and its treasure: the Apocalypse, and admire the view over the Maine River from the Promenade du Bout du Monde.
- Admire the superb panorama from the rocky promontory of La Piverdière in Bouchemaine or the Mediterranean garden in Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire.
- Visit Les Ponts-de-Cé, King René's favorite residence, now home to the Musée des Coiffes et des Traditions, or the Rive d'Arts creative hub on the port of Les Noues.
- Immerse yourself in the heart of La Loire at the Loire-Odyssée Interpretation Center in the new Loire-Authion commune.
