Located in La Membrolle, in the little town of Longuenée-en-Anjou, this lock house is a real piece of local history. Facing the Mayenne, between Angers and Château-Gontier, there was a large mill and important milling activity here, the buildings of which were destroyed by fire in 1918. It's hard to imagine the ballet of barges when contemplating the calm panorama of today. This haven of peace, where fishermen, cyclists and walkers meet on the towpath, now houses a bistro.
