Created during the Hundred Years' War, this monumental textile work, commissioned by Duke Louis I of Anjou, is an exceptional example of the art of lice tapestry.
Knights, Gothic architecture, animals, plants, furniture, towns... The Apocalypse of Angers is more than just an illustration of the last book of the Bible. It is also a living testimony to the 14th century, reflecting the power of a duke with international ambitions.
