The canonical house is poised high on the edge of a rock wall. With its courtyard and gardens, the grounds are some of the largest in the old town of Angers. This building, known as “Maison de Cunaud”, because of neighbouring houses which were close to the priory house of Cunaud, and the fact that the street was called “vicus cunaldus”, provided hospitality for the religious and was a place of study.
