Hiking - From Plessis-Bourré to the Lower Anjou Valleys
This trail will take you deep into the heart of the Lower Anjou Valleys, through an area known for horse breeding with numerous stud farms. For a historic stop halfway through the hike, visit the Château du Plessis-Bourré, a 15th-century architectural gem set in 380 hectares of grounds.
Tourist Attractions:
- The Château du Plessis-Bourré in Écuillé is unique in its “Transitional” style. It combines the characteristics of a late-Medieval fortress—with its defensive systems—with the elegance of the Renaissance. The castle served as a filming location for the movies *Peau d’Âne* and *Fanfan la Tulipe*.
