Discover the secrets of France's largest river by taking part in Loire Odyssée activities at Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire, near Angers. Don't hesitate to take the "La Loire à Vélo" itinerary to get to the site. Whether with family, friends or lovers, you're bound to find an activity to suit your needs. A visit to the discovery center will enable you to discover the evolution of the river and its relationship with man over time. Let yourself be transported into an immersive experience, accompanied by playful tools and spaces in the colors of the Loire. A temporary exhibition on another of the world's rivers completes your visit. Starting in February 2025, the exhibition-game, recommended for ages 6-7 and up, takes you on a scenographic tour of one of the world's greatest rivers, the Ganges. India's mythical and sacred river, the spiritual backbone of the country, is at the heart of this new immersive exhibition. You'll discover the ritual practices that punctuate the river's life, as well as the major environmental challenges it faces today. It's an invitation to travel, to reflect... and to encounter a different way of looking at water. Love boat trips? You've come to the right place! You'll have the opportunity to observe the unspoilt landscapes of the wild Loire, to experience a real moment of escape on the Loire. Access to Loire Odyssée is free for Angers City Pass holders. Additional information: Annual closure during Christmas vacations. Closed May 01 and Easter Monday. Every vacation, Loire Odyssée offers activities for the whole family: guided tours, storytelling, games, nature explorations... An on-site store sells a wide range of local products, as well as books to help you learn more about the Loire.
