Every year, Angers puts on its festive best for Soleils d'hiver.
In the illuminated city, the Christmas market, attractions and entertainment for all ages attract large crowds every winter.
In 2025, among the many events on the program:
- Santa Claus arrives on November 29 at 3.30pm in the Jardin du Mail. Santa's house is located on Place Sainte-Croix, where you can meet him. Mrs. Claus' house in Place Molière.
- Large Christmas market at Place du Ralliement, Rue Lenepveu, Place Molière and Place du Pilori.
- Christmas merry-go-rounds (Carrousel 1900 on Place du Ralliement / Ferris wheel, fir tree merry-go-round in Jardin du Mail, La Pomme merry-go-round in Place Lorraine and wooden horse merry-go-round in Place Molière);
- Cirque de noël on Place François Mitterrand (book at the tourist office).
- Strolling and Street Arts;
- Santa's elf workshops (no reservation required, limited space, suitable for all ages, 1h15 slots) at the Salon Curnonsky, place Maurice-Sailland.
