Hiking - Loire and horticultural plain
These two communes, both crossed by the La Loire à Vélo and Vélo Francette cycle routes, offer breathtaking views of the river, part of which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Tourist attractions :
- Overlooking the Loire at the foot of the church, the French-style gardens of the presbytery feature a succession of flower-filled terraces that are well worth a visit.
- A Mediterranean garden in Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire? Yes, because the microclimate is ideal for vines, lavender, cypress and agapanthus.
- Today, 30 companies operate 500 hectares of orchards, vegetable crops, flowering plants, cut flowers and perennials. This plain bordered by the Loire and Maine rivers is better known as the "Green Triangle".
- In Les Ponts-de-Cé, the town offers a heritage of know-how, with the Musée des Coiffes et des Traditions housed in the château, and the "Rive d'Arts" creative center housed in the former fishhook factory.
