    Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of slate mining: Anjou’s emblematic stone. Models, videos, machines and tools tell you all about the various stages of transforming this age-old material. Why not take a trip back to the days of the miners, accompanied by your dog?

    Espace Air Passion

    For aviation enthusiasts, those with a passion for new things and the simply curious, come and discover the

    civil and military aviation collections on display. Guided by a team of enthusiasts, you’ll discover the evolution of construction and flight techniques throughout the 20th century.

    Loire Odyssée

    Looking for a moment of peace and quiet, away from the everyday hustle and bustle? Take a cruise on the Loire with Loire Odyssée. As the water flows by, landscapes reveal themselves – transformed by the seasons and the light. You’ll see vast golden sandbanks, unspoilt riverbanks and the huge variety of birds that make the Loire a real natural refuge.

    Please note : Dogs are not permitted during the tour of the Loire Odyssée site, but are permitted on board the boats. Boats sail from April to October.

    L’Hirondelle

    For a meal or a day trip, let yourself go with the flow along the Mayenne, Maine or Loire on board this pleasure boat. Departing from the Cale de la Savatte in Angers, take advantage of the panoramic upstairs terrace and heated lounge for a simply timeless break.

    Garden of the Museum of Fine Arts

    Looking for a nature break in the city centre? The Garden of the Museum of Fine Arts is the ideal place to take a stroll with your dog while enjoying a soothing, artistic setting. Particularly popular among students and book lovers, it offers up a series of flower-lined paths, sculptures and a small play area.

    Jardin des Plantes

    The Jardin des Plantes botanical garden, Angers’ green heart, is a true peaceful paradise. A sanctuary for biodiversity, a children’s playground and a haven for animals: you and your leashed dog can enjoy the peace and quiet of this garden, just a stone’s throw from the city centre.

    Dog areas for running and playing off-lead

    Balzac Park

    At Balzac Park, two fenced-in areas are specially reserved for dogs to run freely:

    • A 1,000 m² area
    • A 200 m² area dedicated to small dogs
    • Tree trunks have been installed to encourage play. The rest of the park remains accessible to dogs on a lead.

    Please note : The park is accessed via Rue des Basses-Fouassières.

    La Baumette

    Near the La Baumette sports park, a 2,000 m² dog park can be found on the site of the Couffon playground.

    Please note : This is a shared space and is not exclusive to dogs.
