In 1969, the city decided to develop a recreational area on flood-prone pastureland used for livestock grazing. The new Lac-de-Maine neighborhood was subsequently created, featuring a mix of apartment buildings and single-family homes, a commercial district, and local amenities. This tour is part of the 40th anniversary of the “City of Art and History” designation and the partnership between Angers Patrimoine and community leaders in the Belle-Beille and Lac-de-Maine neighborhoods. Reservations are required.
