Every year in May, the Angers Fête l'Europe event promotes the construction of the European Union and raises awareness of the diversity of European cultures. Coordinated by the City of Angers, the event brings together a wide range of partners who contribute to the program through meetings, visits, demonstrations, cultural events...
The 2025 edition will feature the city of Valence, with which Angers is initiating a new partnership.
With 800,000 inhabitants and a metropolitan population of 1.9 million, Valencia is Spain's third largest city. Thanks to the Silk Lodge, the Water Court and its famous Fallas, Valencia boasts an exceptional heritage that has been classified by Unesco. To bring this cultural wealth to Angers, Angers fête l'Europe is offering several events linked to Spanish culture, in particular an exhibition by Valencian artist Antonio Samo and a Citizens' Day with a Hispanic flavour.
Highlights :
- Bike ride on May 25: get on your bikes for a ride through the city to discover the sites co-financed by the European Union and its symbolic places. Free, registration required by 05/23 ([email protected])
- Flamenco concert and initiation on May 25: Free, on the Coeur de Maine esplanade from 4pm to 5pm.
