Description
Through this exhibition, Chilean photographer, skateboarder, and writer Juan Mollinare invites us to discover his perspective on the people, places, and experiences that have shaped his journey through Chile, Argentina, and France.
At the opening reception, you’ll have the opportunity to hear the artist’s perspective on his work, gain insight into his creative process and the stories behind his photographs, and then ask him questions and engage directly with him (during the two workshops).
The exhibition brings together several projects, including *Todos tienen nombre*, dedicated to the people who work and live in the heart of Puerto Varas, Chile; *De aquí pa’ fuera*, a travel journal blending photographs, writing, and illustrations; and *Angers Skate*, an ongoing series exploring the skateboarding scene in Angers.
Three events with the artist:
- Opening reception with the photographer: An opening reception centered on travel, connection, and dialogue with the artist.
- Discussion workshop centered on a souvenir photo: Using a travel photograph brought by each participant, this workshop offers a chance to take time to share memories, emotions, and stories that an image can evoke.
- Hands-on photography workshop: Want to experiment with photography and see your surroundings in a new light? This workshop invites you to move from theory to practice, exploring different ways to capture a place, a person, or a moment through an image.
Inspired by the exhibition’s themes, you’ll have the chance to experiment, observe, frame, and take photos, all while discovering techniques and tips for creating an image that tells a story.
This workshop is open to everyone—take the time to see things differently, experiment, share ideas, and let your creativity shine.
Note: Be sure to bring your camera or smartphone.
