Description
A festive, popular, and unmissable event, the Fête de la Musique marks the start of summer! This 44th edition will take place in Angers on Sunday, June 21, from 7 p.m. to midnight. Artists—whether professional or amateur, performing solo or in groups, and representing all forms of musical expression—are invited to perform freely and bring life to the city’s streets, shops, squares, and gardens.
To allow families to fully enjoy the event while taking safety constraints into account, an early start at 3 p.m. will be permitted by special exception in certain strictly pedestrian-only and secured areas: Jardin du Mail, Place Giffard-Langevin, Place Saint-Eloi, Place de la République, Place du Pilori, Place Michel-Debré, Cale de la Savatte, Promenade du Bout-du-Monde. For this early start, instrumental music is preferred.
