Description
In Angers in 1885, the enterprising pharmacist Emile Giffard invented the Menthe-Pastille and transformed his pharmacy into a distillery. Today, Giffard—still a family-owned and independent company—produces more than 130 liqueurs and syrups.
During your guided tour, you’ll explore the Espace Menthe-Pastille, a space entirely dedicated to the company’s heritage and expertise (antique artifacts, collections of vintage posters, collector’s bottles, and more). You’ll then step into the heart of the production process in Emile’s apothecary to learn more about the maceration of our fruits, flowers, and plants. You’ll tour the bottling lines and conclude your tour with a tasting of flavors and aromas.
