Created in collaboration with the Geekstoriens—two historians specializing in pop culture—and with the contemporary perspective of Floryan Varennes, a historian and visual artist, this exhibition explores key themes that have stood the test of time by examining the connections between medieval tales and today’s major sagas and video games, via the 19th-century medieval revival.
Kings, knights, and warrior women clad in extraordinary armor and wielding magnificent swords, mysterious forests, quests for treasure—whether the Holy Grail or a ring—and legendary dragons will take you on a journey to discover the origins of fantasy’s heroes and heroines.
