Description
The National Architecture Days, which will take place from October 15 to 18, 2026, will have the following theme this year: “Renovate: Building the Future”
The 2026 theme highlights a key issue for our living environment: the transformation of existing buildings and the reuse of materials, which apply to all types of structures.
Program:
- Accompanied by a CAUE architect, students are invited to discover the building’s history, its various uses, and its renovation in 2004–2005 to become the MATP (Angers)
An activity booklet, provided to teachers in advance, will guide students throughout the tour. It is organized around a timeline tracing the building’s evolution, set in context with key milestones in aviation history. It also covers the building’s facades, the former aviation school, the site’s use during World War II, and its conversion.
This program is primarily intended for students in grades CE1 through CM2.
Three tour times are available on Friday, October 16: at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. The tour is estimated to last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes
