As night falls on the Château du Plessis-Macé, the lights of a circus come on… And even if they flicker a little, they hold the promise of joy and laughter… if all goes well… For on this October evening in 1978, red and yellow alternate with black, and in the darkness of the medieval courtyard, no one can see the clown’s makeup running.
