The magic of a traditional Christmas at the Château de Serrant! During an extensive self-guided tour, discover one of the best-furnished châteaux of the Loire Valley, fully decorated for Christmas: illuminated facades, a choir, large Christmas trees, candles, a nativity scene in the chapel, and more... The warm wood paneling, antique tapestries, and comfortable rooms let you experience a traditional Christmas in a lived-in castle! As a special treat, the library—with its 12,000 volumes—is open for self-guided tours! For families with children ages 6 and up: a fun treasure hunt through the castle is offered, set in the world of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. The characters have escaped from the book, and you’ll need to solve their riddles as you make your way through the castle’s rooms! Afterward, head to the castle’s Orangery to warm up. Games, treats, and hot drinks will be waiting for you there. The scavenger hunt runs continuously (be sure to bring a pencil!). Gift shop at the reception desk PLEASE NOTE: The castle is not heated, so be sure to wear warm clothing.
