Description
The Anjou Brissac AOC takes center stage at one of the most beautiful markets in downtown Angers,
and comes out to meet its audience!
To the southwest of Angers, not far from the majestic Château de Brissac, nestled between the Loire, the Aubance, and the
steep slopes of the Layon, 60 hectares of vineyards stretch gently downhill… In this Anjou
Noir appellation, with its schist-rich, stony soils from the Armorican Massif, a dense red wine is born, featuring aromas of
red fruits and spicy notes. Made primarily from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet
Sauvignon grapes, it is produced by some thirty winemakers.
Wine tasting and meet-and-greet featuring bites from Gouline and other Anjou delicacies.
Winemakers from the appellation will be in attendance. In partnership with the Anjou Saumur Wine Federation / AOC Anjou
Brissac.
