Every year, Ban’Quai kicks off the cultural season in Loire-Authion with a picnic and performances. It’s a friendly, family-oriented, and free event that combines street art, music, and exhibitions.
Shared picnic on the riverbanks, starting at 12:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to picnic with family, neighbors, and friends at the large tables set up for the occasion on the banks of the Loire.
The Fouées d’Antan food truck will be on site.
12:30 PM // Complimentary aperitif provided by the town—Performances all afternoon
12:30 PM // Morning concert, Harmonie Loire-Authion.
2:30 PM // Ragas, On y danse. Dance and music.
3:15 PM // 95% Mortel, Compagnie du Coin. A narrative musical composition in motion for one voice, six wind instruments, and two percussionists.
In partnership with the Vallée Loire Authion School of Music.
5:00 PM // Queen-A-Man, Compagnie Ô captain mon capitaine.
A choreographed and heartfelt tribute to Freddie Mercury.
6:00 p.m. // Amada
Amada brings the music of Greece, Asia Minor, and the Balkans to life for a concert. By turns festive and melancholic, polyphonic and instrumental, the music performed by the trio takes us back to the era of Kafé Aman. With songs of love, revelry, and exile, Amada transports us beyond the borders we know so well…
Also, all day long:
Temporary exhibition on “The Mysteries of the Ganges” and permanent exhibition on the Loire River at Loire Odyssée.
“Around Water” exhibition by the Loire-Layon-Louet Collective at the Galerie Hors-Champ. Free admission.
