Public opinion and rumours played a key role in Don José’s so-called ‘crime of passion’ against Carmen. For this ‘Toutes voix dehors’ concert, echoing the work of Georges Bizet, the Angers Nantes Opéra choir brings to life the great crowd scenes from the history of opera. A programme celebrating the power of the collective, balancing exuberance with pressure, combining romantic scores from France and Italy. A concert to hear works by Jules Massenet, Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini, Gioachino Rossini and Giuseppe Verdi, but also to sing some of Carmen’s greatest hits at the top of your voice!
