On this tour, you'll have the rare opportunity to walk around the base of the building, in areas usually closed to the public. Feel the impressive scale of the building as you observe its elevations from these privileged vantage points. You'll also get a close-up view of ancient protective features, such as a 14th-century locking system and a suspended defensive device. After this unusual tour at the foot of a stone giant, you'll head back up to the main building to conclude your discovery in front of the illustrated representations of ancient protective walls in the Apocalypse tapestry. Accompanied by a guide, you'll gain access to these usually inaccessible areas. Practical information: Reservations on the château's website are strongly recommended. For those in possession of a free ticket or Angers City Pass, reservation of a free ticket is required. Suitable for people with reduced mobility and strollers.
