Come and discover the Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel, probably the largest medieval chapel in Anjou. Built in the early 15th century by Duke Louis II and his wife Yolande d'Aragon in honor of a relic brought back from the Crusades, the château's chapel boasts Gothic Angevin vaults and bright tufa walls. Once reserved for the castle's inhabitants and the dukes, who had a private, heated oratory built for them, this place of worship experienced many vicissitudes after the Middle Ages... Practical info: Ages 14 and over. No advance booking. Limited number of visitors, so please arrive early. Accessible to wheelchair users.
