Description
An exhibition of watercolors on Yupo paper by Jean-Yves Charles, featuring transparency and patterned painting on this delicate medium.
Self-taught painter from Trélazé, born in Angers. Passionate since childhood, he paints and draws. His favorite technique is watercolor, which he has been practicing for many years. After painting on various media such as cotton, he now paints on Yupo paper. This work remains demanding in view of a delicate support, since it's a non-porous synthetic polypropylene paper on which paint can easily fade before applying a fixative. He prefers motif-based painting, and above all seeks transparency.
Free admission during Loire odyssée opening hours.
